Volunteer Alumni Network

Volunteer Alumni Network (VAN) Alumni have worked to identify outstanding high school students in local areas throughout the state and selected areas in adjoining states. They host VAN parties in their homes to help recruit these students, represent UT, Knoxville at college night programs in their high schools and encourage students to visit the campus.

Approximately 2,000 top high school juniors and seniors annually receive personal attention from UT alumni, faculty and administrators through these events. Handbooks are provided to VAN members and special training sessions are offered on the UT, Knoxville campus. The office of Admissions at UT, Knoxville works closely with the Alumni Office in coordinating this program.
